Betty is a 20 year old young lady from VoK who registered at Kwacha Afrika Imarisha Vijana Centre to be able to find a job so that she may raise money for her college education. After the training, she enrolled for mentoring support so as to be able to benefit from available opportunities.
She did job applications in vain for a while but she never gave up. Since she has always been interested in fashion and modelling, the career guidance officer linked her to a job opportunity whereby she went for an interview and passed.
Currently, she works at Waridi Fashions, a popular fashion house with Mombasa’s middle class clientele in the CBD. She supervises the other workers as well as modelling for the company
